"Effective altruism" nghĩa là gì?

"Effective altruism" = vị tha hiệu quả -> nghĩa là phong trào, lĩnh vực nghiên cứu hướng tới tìm ra giải pháp tốt nhất để giúp đỡ cộng đồng và giải quyết các vấn đề toàn cầu.

The Scottish philosopher (triết gia) was already one of the world’s most prominent (xuất chúng) proponents (người đề xướng) of “effective altruism” (or “EA”), a social movement dedicated to ”using evidence and reason to figure out how to benefit others as much as possible.”
But it’s also turned the philanthropy (bắc ái) world upside down, as Bankman-Fried had been a major proponent of the effective altruism movement, supporting a wide-range of charities (từ thiện) focused on the world’s most pressing problems.
Effective altruism is a philosophical and social movement, formalized (chính thức hóa) at Oxford University. It describes itself as a scientific method that uses “evidence and reason in search of the best ways of doing good.”
