"By-election" nghĩa là gì?

"By-election" -> nghĩa là cuộc bầu cử diễn ra khác thời điểm với cuộc bầu cử chính, để bầu ra Nghị sĩ mới thay cho người tiền nhiệm đã qua đời hoặc nghỉ việc.

Beginning today, Monday, December 12, eligible voters can check to see if they are on the January 23, 2023, by-election voters’ list for the French language public school trustee (ủy viên quản trị), Conseil scolaire Viamonde (Ward 3 – Centre) and French language Catholic school trustee, Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir (Ward 4 – Toronto Est).
Voters will be unable to make changes to their school support for the by-election. If a voter previously voted for another school board trustee during the 2022 Toronto Municipal Election, they are not eligible (không đủ điều kiện) to vote in this January 23, 2023 by-election.
