"Godwin’s Law" nghĩa là gì?

"Godwin’s Law" = luật của Godwin -> nghĩa là hiện tượng khi cuộc tranh luận về chính trị càng kéo dài, sẽ càng có khả năng có người so sánh với Đức Quốc xã hay Hitler. Từ này được ban hành lần đầu vào năm 1990 bởi luật sư Mike Godwin với mục đích nghiên cứu sức lan tỏa và phát triển của thông tin khi được đăng tải lên internet.

As with so many moronic (khờ dại) rows these days, it all started on Twitter. Anyone who squanders (phí phạm) far too much of their life on that infernal (ghê gớm) app will be well aware of Godwin’s Law.
Progressives leapt to defend this comparison. Which was curious, because, being well familiar with Godwin’s Law, they should surely have accepted that Mr Lineker had lost the argument on the spot.
Pundits and the public keep invoking Hitler’s name in vain. As early as 1990, Mike Godwin, an American lawyer and author, coined “Godwin’s Law” of Nazi analogies (loại suy). It states that as an online discussion grows longer — regardless of the topic — the probability of a comparison to Adolf Hitler approaches.
