Haemophilia is a group of hereditary (di truyền) genetic disorders that impair the body's ability to control blood clotting, which is used to stop bleeding when a blood vessel is cut. Haemophilia A (clotting factor VIII deficiency) is the most common form of the disorder. Hence haemophilia is also called as bleeder's disease.
A 55-year-old man comes to the emergency department with epistaxis (uncontrolled (không ngừng) nosebleed). He reports that he has “bleeder’s disease” and has had multiple episodes of inflammatory hemarthroses (joint bleeding).
