"Stick in his gizzard" nghĩa là gì?

Ấp ức không biết nói ai :((. Photo by DESIGNECOLOGIST on Unsplash

"Stick in (one's) gizzard" = cảm thấy nghẹn ở cổ họng -> nghĩa là cứ bị phiền lòng bởi chuyện đã xảy ra mà bản thân không thể chấp nhận được.

Ví dụ
This bitter defeat made many half-green Manchester fans stick in their gizzard.

I tossed my phone away and stuck in my gizzard. From just one simple conversation, and yet everything turned in the direction ... we were about to break up.

Look back at me So just waiting to die? I stuck in my gizzard. One group (Mao Zedong) chanted the rain calling for the wind. If you want to correct someone, you will correct that person. No one dares to resist, I will resist! Do you keep sitting open your eyes and looking at the adjusted Head?

Sheldon G. Adelson, a cabdriver’s son who built the world’s largest empire (đế chế lớn nhất) of casinos and resort hotels in Las Vegas, Macau, Singapore and other gambling meccas and used his vast wealth to promote right-wing political agendas in America and Israel, died on Monday at his home in Malibu, Calif. He was 87.

The cause was complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a form of blood cancer (ung thư máu).

Mr. Adelson grew up tough, a Depression-era street urchin who hawked newspapers and fought roughnecks in Boston. Unfazed by risks, rivals or the law, he built a fortune estimated by Forbes in 2014 at $36.6 billion, making him the world’s eighth or ninth wealthiest person.

...His ride to riches had been more roller coaster than escalator, anyway. After taking the Sands public in 2004, his net worth grew for two years by $1 million an hour — weekends, holidays and nights included. In a few months in 2009, it fell from $30 billion to $2 billion. But by 2013, he had it all back, with billions to spare. Often the cash register rang up $2 million an hour.

...In May 2016, after Donald J. Trump became the presumptive (có cơ sở, có lý, có thể đúng) Republican presidential nominee, Mr. Adelson told him in a private meeting in Manhattan that he was willing to contribute more to help elect him than he had given to any previous campaign, a sum that could exceed $100 million, according to two Republicans with direct knowledge of Mr. Adelson’s commitment. He eventually gave the Trump presidential campaign only $25 million but was still its largest donor.

Since the deceased (người quá cố) had not named a nominee, bank officials had expressed their inability (không có khả năng, không thể) to release (tha, thả, phóng thích, giải thoát) the money. Infuriated (tức điên lên) villagers laid the body inside the bank for three hours.

Later, when the local police intervened (can thiệp), the bank officials gave ₹10,000 to the villagers under their Corporate Social Responsibility fund for the cremation (hỏa táng). The man had ₹1,17,298 in his account.
