"Suck it up" nghĩa là gì?

"Suck it up" = nuốt đi (cố nuốt trôi đi) -> nghĩa là chấp nhận đau thương, dù không hề muốn.

Ví dụ
THE Scottish Secretary (thư ký) has told SNP MP Deidre Brock to “suck it up and go with the programme” as she expressed concerns (lo ngại) over Westminster bypassing the devolution settlement.

When complaints (phàn nàn) roared forth on social media about her use of the word “spaz” in her new song “Grrrls,” the singer didn’t shout, “Political correctness (đúng đắn) run amok!” She also didn’t say to her detractors, “Suck it up, snowflakes.”

"When I went and asked her about it, she was like 'Coach, that was my scrise ... my screw ball and rise ball together.' If she was having an off day, she would suck it up and never quit. She took games like that in stride because she knew she had a job to do."

So suck it up Democratic buttercup, because you have a painful (đau đớn) choice to make.
