"Tear-jerker" nghĩa là gì?

"Tear-jerker" có tear là nước mắt, jerker là cú giật mạnh, thúc mạnh -> từ này nghĩa là bộ phim, tiểu thuyết, câu truyện hay quyển sách rất buồn, đầy xúc động.
Ví dụ
The trailer gives us little bits: “Does she still love me?; “I need a reason to come back”; “I want Isabelle out of our lives” and “there’s lots of old faces floating about”. This tear-jerker will have everyone grabbing the tissues (giấy khô): “We might be leaving the street … but we will always be in each other’s lives.”
Among their opponents is Jo (Melanie Field), their lovable former teammate who got surreptitiously traded after being caught at a gay bar. At first, the game is lightly antagonistic (đối lập), but by the end, it's a total tear-jerker and a celebration of solidarity among all these women.

It turns out that wasn't the top tear-jerker moment from the evening.
When Ken Griffey Jr. and his dad came out in right field, I know both of those guys, that was a tear-jerker, a lump-in-the-throat moment. Look, my grandfather meant a lot to a lot of people in Chicago, and he just had a great time and fun at the ballpark.
