Bài trước: Công bằng ở đâu?

"It's on me" nghĩa là gì?

Ăn đi... tôi mời mà nhưng cậu trả nhá. Photo by  Robert Bye

"It's on me" -> Tôi bao, tôi sẽ trả tiền/hóa đơn cho một bữa ăn uống nào đó.

Ví dụ
When he was asked about who paid for the dinner by Kelly, Davidson responded by saying It's on me. The comedian also revealed that Kanye ordered the most expensive dishes.

Magali Trejo-Martinez, a 22-year-old living in Salem, Oregon, recently went on a date (đi hẹn hò) that was rather uninspiring. “I had dinner, had a couple margaritas, and then went home,” is how she recapped the evening. This outcome wasn’t entirely surprising—she says she wasn’t very interested in the guy when she agreed to go out with him—but it wasn’t a letdown (sự vỡ mộng, thất vọng) either, because it's on him. While her heart wasn’t in it, her stomach was: “I mean, if it’s dinner, I’m not going to say no, so that I don’t have to go home and cook,” she told me.

I can see you’re in quite the predicament (điều đã được dự đoán), and through no fault of your own. Everyone is entitled (được quyền làm) to choose how they wish to socialise and you certainly shouldn’t be penalised (phạt) for not indulging (nuông chiều, chiều theo) in a bev. It’s ridiculous! I have friends that don’t drink and when it comes to splitting (chia sẻ, tách ra) the bill, it’s automatically assumed that it's on them for what they had and part of the tip (tiền boa). That’s common sense, right? Unfortunately Maria, it seems your friends need a bit of a kick up the behind when it comes to conducting (chỉ dạy, khuyên răn) themselves at the end of a meal.

"Leap to the eye" nghĩa là gì?

Uống nhầm ánh mắt, cơn say theo cả đời. Photo by Ali Tareq

"Leap to the eye" = Nhảy vọt vào ánh mắt -> Trở nên quá rõ ràng/hiển nhiên ngay lập tức khi đọc hoặc xem (mắt thường có thể thấy được).

Ví dụ
While the financial penalties (hình phạt) can vary depending on the size of a business, a data breach (lỗ thủng, sự vi phạm) can wreak (bắt ai phải chịu, tiến hành trả thù) havoc (sự tàn phá) and the long-term cost may not leap to the eye.

These deleterious (có hại, độc) changes may not leap to the eye after the start of the CD-IV Project operations and could take several years to manifest (biểu lộ, hiển thị) themselves in groundwater monitoring data.

The quality of the visual effects leaps to the eye during the opening "Circle of Life" scene, which feels like the start of an epic (bản thiên hùng ca, sử thi) documentary in Africa. I was blown away by what Disney had achieved with the special effects.

"Get on top of" nghĩa là gì?

Chết...cái tội nước tới chân mới nhảy đây. Photo by  Clark Young

"Get on top of (one)" = Đạt tới đỉnh điểm -> Công việc quá tải, cứ dồn dập tại một thời điểm nên bạn muốn tránh và không muốn thực hiện. Vì thế, dễ khiến bạn bị đau đầu, buồn chán và khó giải quyết công việc một cách hiệu quả. Một nghĩa khác nữa là điều gì đó làm bạn lo lắng, áp lực hoặc chán nản.

Ví dụ
My parents’ endless rows (cuộc cãi lộn không dứt) have got on top of me.

Finances affect nearly every adult, which get on top of them. A person may have concerns about how they will pay for groceries, cover the mortgage (tiền thế chấp) or rent, or travel to work. However, for some, thinking and worrying about finances can become an overwhelming problem. When a person worries about finances excessively, they can develop anxiety that may affect their sleep and how they feel when they wake up in the morning.

We move on to how he would drink to cope with (đương đầu, đối mặt) the anxiety, and how that could sometimes get on top of him when he was on the road. “Because it’s always available and legal. Plus people really like to see you – the guy who was on stage – afterwards. And they like to see you drinking … so I would get drunk. It becomes a weird hobby (một sở thích quái dị) to take your mind off everything else. I’d be, like, I’m away for three weeks, I’ll get through this by not really noticing. And as long as I can do my job properly, everything will be all right.”

"Challenge the status quo" nghĩa là gì?

My favorite piece of the president’s recent tweet was when he accused (buộc tội) the congresswomen of “viciously telling (nói một cách luẩn quẩn) the people of the United States … how our government is to be run.” Again, Google will tell you that’s their job. Keep in mind, if no one ever challenged the status quo we’d still belong to England. And only white, male landowners could vote (bầu chọn).

I like troublemakers (kẻ gây rối), which means any woman on the planet who has the audacity (sự táo bạo) to speak her mind, challenge the status quo, fight for and cheer on other women, and whose life is a demonstration (sự trình diễn) of personal power, activism (năng động), and self-awareness (tự nhận thức, hiểu được chính mình). That’s my definition (định nghĩa) of an icon (biểu tượng).

Movements don’t happen in places where people are comfortable with the way things are happening around them. Movements do happen in Oakland, where people aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo.

Since its launch, Convex leaders have described how the specialty (đặc sản, đặc biệt) re/insurer is designed for the evolving insurance industry, and it’s clear that the long-term, strategic partnership with WNS is a key part of its efforts (nỗ lực) to challenge the status quo and create value across the chain.

Bài trước "A blessing in disguise" nghĩa là gì?

*Robert Morris, George Washington and Haym Salomon Statue.

The government of the united states which gives bigotry no sanction to persecution no assisstance requires that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens in giving it on all occasions thier effectual support president george washington - 1790.

On the corner of Wabash Avenue and Wacker Drive, just a couple blocks southwest of the Tribune Tower, stands a testament to the fact that people of different backgrounds had to come together to help our nation come into existence.

In this memorial along the Chicago River, George Washington, in his Revolutionary War uniform, shakes hands with English-born Robert Morris on his right and Polish-Jewish emigrant Hyam Salomon on his left. Morris, who actually was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and Salomon gave their financial support to assure victory in the American Revolution, raising thousands of dollars to assist the American Army in its battle against the British. At the base of the statue, a plaque envisions a multitude of people being welcomed by Liberty and her outstretched arms.

Alderman Barnet Hodes commissioned the sculpture in the 1930s and raised the necessary money. Loredo Taft, whose ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War, designed the work but died in 1936 after completing only a small model. His associates were given a new contract, and three of them (Nellie Walker, Leonard Crunelle, and Mary Webster) each enlarged one of the figures, finishing the artwork in 1941. It has proudly stood by the Chicago River since 2002.

"A blessing in disguise" nghĩa là gì?

Đừng buồn vì bạn thất bại, biết đâu sự thất bại lại cho bạn nhiều bài học, dẫn bạn tới những con đường khác tới thành công. Photo by Claudia on Unsplash

"A blessing in disguise" = điều hạnh phúc/sung sướng cải trang -> cụm từ này nghĩa là một việc tốt mà đầu tiên bạn không nhận ra, thậm chí còn nghĩa đó là việc không tốt; trong cái rủi có cái may.

Ví dụ
Little did she know that the setback (sự thất bại) was actually a blessing in disguise, as she retired (giải nghệ) from active sport to take up officiating (hành chính). At the just-ended 2019 Africa Karate Championships (UFAK) held in Gaborone last week, Mosalagae was the only local woman referee (nữ trọng tài) to officiate in the kata and kumite.

He lost quite a bit of weight during his hiatus (sự gián đoạn), most of it muscle. He considers the latter a blessing in disguise, because he had already decided to drop some weight from his muscular frame.

Yasawa Team Manager Manasa Takala says the deferring (hoãn lại) of the Bainimarama Shield Challenge to this weekend is a blessing in disguise to their team. He says this has given them a platform (nền tảng) to further strengthen their team in order to keep the Bainimarama Shield with them at the end of this challenge. He says this has also given players who have sustained injuries (vết thương) a breather.

"Turn of events" nghĩa là gì?

Sự thay đổi mang tính quyết định. Photo by Ross Findon

"Turn of events" = Thay đổi sự kiện -> Sự thay đổi/thay thế một cách đột ngột trong một tình huống/hoàn cảnh hoặc điều gì đó xảy ra không như mong đợi.

Ví dụ
In a not-so juicy (nhiều nước, đậm màu sắc) turn of events for them, Khlebnikov and Lagzdins were found guilty (có tội, tội lỗi) at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 22).

Kojima himself has yet to comment on or address this strange turn of events, presumably (có thể đoán chừng) because he's squirrelling (tích trữ) away making Death Stranding the best game it can be before it's November 8, 2019 release date.

Such a turn of events seemed highly improbable (không chắc sẽ xảy ra) a few months ago. Johnson is a polarising figure not just for the country at large but for his own party. An instantly recognisable figure with his unruly (phóng túng, ương nghạnh) blonde mop (vải lau), rotund Billy Bunteresque figure and fruity Etonian accent, Johnson is political Vegemite.

Oh, ngõ cụt rồi. Photo by Charlotte Butcher

"Come a gutser" -> Tiếng lóng của Úc nghĩa là gây ra tai nạn hay sai lầm.

Ví dụ
Since 1965, he has seen review after review come a gutser and "all have said more or less the same". That's where things get tricky.

Feilding Yellows have occasionally come a gutser at Linton Camp, but the disparity (sự cách biệt, khác biệt) between them seems too great this

There is no 170-year tradition (truyền thống) at that company and the fact they have come a gutser at the Royal Commission this week should be no surprise to anybody.

"He's zipping (chạy vèo qua) around, going like a mad thing, and he's nearly come a gutser on these rocks,” she says.

"Squeeze until the pips squeak" nghĩa là gì?

Hình ảnh minh họa theo đúng nghĩa đen luôn nha :D. Photo by Christiann Koepke on Unsplash

"Squeeze (someone) until the pips squeak" = vắt/bóp kiệt đến nát cả hột -> sử dụng vũ lực hoặc gây áp lực lên ai đó để khai thác số tiền lớn, thông tin hoặc vắt kiệt sức lao động.

Ví dụ
The Scottish Greens should be seen as the natural party of choice for the people of Scotland. We stand for the people of Scotland who are not powerful, who have been bitten by austerity (khổ hạnh), who are looking for hope in a time when they are being squeezed until the pips squeak.

Also, John Bolton, the national security advisor (cố vấn an ninh quốc gia) to President Trump, said in November 2018, “We think the (Iranian) government is under real pressure and it’s our intention (chủ ý) to squeeze them very hard. As the British say, squeeze them until the pips squeak.”

When the ministry isn’t throwing away taxpayer money (tiền thuế đã nộp) on superfluous conferences (hội nghị thừa thãi) — at a time when Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Bộ ngoại giao) diplomats are reportedly being squeezed until the pips squeak — Israel is succeeding in putting BDS on the international agenda (nghị sự quốc tế).

"Get right on (something)" -> Làm một việc gì đó luôn và ngay lập tức.

Ví dụ

"Squeeze out of " nghĩa là gì?

Photo courtesy: Richard Gaston

"Squeeze out (of something)" = chèn, ép hoặc gây áp lực lên điều gì đó.

Ví dụ
New policy could squeeze money out of nonprofits (tổ chức phi lợi nhuận) looking to expand in Pasadena.

Global equities (chứng khoán toàn cầu) are looking a bit "toppish" (chạm đỉnh) as traders (nhà giao dịch) have turned better sellers suggesting investors may have already squeezed all the rate cut juice out of Fed Williams comments.

If you put pressure (áp lực) on the relationship, you squeeze the life out of it and it stops being enjoyable and fun. Don’t push him for reassurance (chắc chắn) or test him to see how much he cares about you. Just realize he does and hold on to that conviction (lòng tin).

A Very Brady Renovation is a rare foray (đột phá) into event programming for the lifestyles network, but HGTV execs (nhà điều hành) have been quick to capitalize on (lợi dụng, tận dụng) the seemingly evergreen press the network has managed to squeeze out of the house since the purchase (mua).

"Knock yourself out" nghĩa là gì?

Tự do là làm những điều mình thích. Photo by Graphic Node

"Knock yourself out" -> Thử cố gắng làm những gì mình thích và muốn theo đuổi nhất.

Ví dụ
Look ketchup (nước xốt cà chua), pickles (dưa chuột), mustard (mù tạc), raw onions, bacon. Knock yourself out. Hey, you can put any of these things on your cheeseburger.

If you want recipe (nguyên liệu) ideas there are tons of great resources.,, and of course, Pinterest. Those three links alone will offer up about 100 different recipes. So knock yourself out, and do what suits you best. Make your own, or make someone else do it. It's your summer.

Before you yell (la hét) at me, hear me out- I’m the first to engage in self-care and grounding spiritual practices because it feels good. It’s good for you. If you need a vacation, take that vacation! Knock yourself out in the self-care and wellness aisles (lối đi, hành lang)- I’m your biggest supporter.

"Rise with the sun" nghĩa là gì?

Bình minh vắng anh. Photo by Andressa Voltolini

"Rise with the sun" = Vươn dậy cùng mặt trời -> Thức dậy và ra khỏi giường khi mặt trời lên và đặc biệt dành cho những người dậy sớm.

Ví dụ
A recent study suggests that women who like to rise with the sun every day may be less likely to develop breast cancer (ung thư vú) than others.

Kids always rise with the sun during summer vacation. During the school year, they have to be DRAGGED out of bed, but it is a completely different story when getting up early gives them a chance to watch cartoons for a few hours.

“I work for London Ambulance Service and it has been challenging to fit training (rèn luyện thể lực) in around work. Twelve-hour shifts (ca làm việc) mean that I need to rise with the sun before work to try and squeeze (trạng thái bị dồn nén, ép) in the training session for that day. There have been a fair few 5am starts!

"Keep up with the Joneses" nghĩa là gì?

Có vẻ cô ta mới tiêm filler. Photo courtesy: Bryan_T

"Keep up with the Joneses" = bắt kịp Joneses -> luôn muốn mình theo kịp "nhà người ta", nhà người ta có gì mình cũng phải có cái đó. Cụm từ này xuất phát từ truyện tranh cùng tên của Pop’ trên tờ New York Globe (1923) và Jone cũng là họ phổ biến ở Anh, được sử dụng chung khi nói về hàng xóm/ "nhà người ta".

Ví dụ
Not everyone, of course. Only those who can afford it (đủ khả năng chi trả), plus those who are trying to keep up with the Joneses, whether they can afford it or not. That’s still a lot of people.

A new survey (khảo sát) by Wilsonart, a home goods manufacturer (nhà sản xuất hàng gia dụng), shows a third of home improvement projects (dự án cải tạo nhà) are started to keep up with a friend, family or neighbor. The average amount spent to keep up with the Joneses is about $3,500.

As I mentioned briefly in a previous column, the old idea of “keeping up with the Joneses” has reached an entirely new dimension (chiều hướng mới) today. Now it’s FOMO—fear of missing out (sợ bị bỏ lỡ)—on all the fabulous things other people appear to be doing, buying and enjoying.

"Go to hell in a handcart" = Xuống địa ngục bằng xe nhỏ kéo bằng tay -> Bạn đang trong tình trạng vô cùng tồi tệ và đổ vỡ hoặc sắp thất bại và phá sản.

Ví dụ
Even when the whole world feels like it’s going to hell in a handcart, someone, somewhere is making money out of it.

He said: “There is another side to this. Who the hell are we to be lecturing anybody about dysfunctional (loạn chức năng), unruly (ngỗ ngược), divisive administrations? “As our country goes to hell in a handcart over this Brexit farce (trò hề), we are lettering the Americans on how to behave.”

Still with gold up 1.5% to 52-week highs of US$1,444 per oz this morning we can see that as a general rule it should rise as U.S. cash rates fall or if the economic world goes to hell in a handcart.

"Jack of all trades master of none" nghĩa là gì?

Photo courtesy: GuitarList

"Jack of all trades, master of none" ý chỉ người có thể làm nhiều việc nhưng không giỏi hoàn toàn trong lĩnh vực nào, tương tự câu một nghề thì sống, đống nghề thì chết.

Ví dụ
“As one of my high school, I think my band director (trưởng ban) called me, the jack of all trades and master of none,” Abraham said. “I just have so many interests.”

It's a problem that can be traced to (bắt nguồn từ) a "jack of all trades, master of none" approach, in the view of Kyle Sherman, the founder (nhà sáng lập), chairman and CEO of inventory and compliance service (dịch vụ kiểm hàng và làm theo yêu cầu) Flowhub.

My biggest weakness: I see myself as the Jack of all trades, Master of none. This figure of speech works for me but many times I feel the vacuum (vô nghĩa) of not knowing more on a particular subject. My life choice was to do all the things that I like and get a fair level of proficiency (trình độ thành thạo) or focus on it but because I ended up doing a lot of things.

"Flash into mind" = Ánh sáng lóe lên trong tâm trí -> Một ý tưởng, hình ảnh hoặc suy nghĩ nảy sinh và xuất hiện trong đầu ngay lập tức.

Ví dụ
The PM asked MPs to involve themselves in social work and “innovative ideas” flash into their mind for working with the district administration (ban quản lý cấp huyện).

“Whatever ideas flash into your mind, you better come up with some thoughts about where you’re going to get the money from three, four, five years from now just to pay the daily expenses (chi phí hằng ngày),” he said.

Through intrapreneur (nhà khởi nghiệp sự nghiệp) programmes, companies are encouraging employees to come up with innovative business plans and build new verticals and revenue streams. Intrapreneurial programmes help employees have marketable solutions which flash into their mind and keep companies relevant and innovative.

"Between a rock and a hard place" nghĩa là gì?

"Between a rock and a hard place" có nghĩa là ở trong một tình thế cực kỳ khó khăn khi phải lựa chọn giữa một trong hai phương án. Tương tự "between Scylla and Charybdis".

Coman Goggins believes Roscommon are "caught between a rock and a hard place" in figuring out how to approach (tìm cách tiếp cận) tonight's Croke Park clash (cuộc đụng độ) with Dublin.

Between a rock and hard place, businesses are looking for ways to reduce the cost of and meet the demand for legal advice and counsel (tư vấn pháp lý) in an increasingly complex legal and regulatory (quy chế và pháp lý) environment.

Geraint Thomas admitted (thừa nhận) he was stuck between a rock and hard place in terms of whether or not to jump on Julian Alaphilippe. Speaking after the stage, he said: "I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, I had to wait a few kilometres and that gave Thibaut Pinot time but at least the leg are responding really well (phản ứng rất tốt)."

"A leopard can't change his spots" nghĩa là gì?

Photo courtesy: firaswhaidar

"A leopard can't change his spots" = một con báo không thể thay đổi các đốm của nó -> bản chất khó thay đổi, tương tự câu giang sơn dễ đổi, bản tính khó rời.

Ví dụ
They say a leopard never changes its spots. The same could be said about Albert Flick. The 77-year-old man was previously convicted (kết án) of fatally stabbing his wife (đâm chết vợ), Sandra, back in 1979. A crime he spent 25 years in prison for.

If someone were not familiar with Trump‘s personal style, they could probably be bluffed (bị lừa) and taken advantage of (bị lợi dụng). As the saying goes, a leopard can‘t change its spots. After Trump became US President, he showed his true colors (bản chất) to the world.
She empathizes (thấu cảm) with his situation and hopes her love will heal him. Then she gets upset when this guy who has never had a serious relationship in his life doesn’t want a serious relationship with her, or fools around with other girls. A leopard can’t change its spots. You can’t invest in a guy who clearly isn’t marriage material (trọng hôn nhân) and then get upset when he won’t give you the commitment (cam kết) you want.

Nghe bảo thất tình là phải uống tí nó mới sành điệu. Photo by Roberto Nickson on Unsplash.

"Bottle of Dog" là thuật ngữ thường được dùng ở Anh để chỉ các chai bia màu nâu mà đặc biệt là các chai bia nhãn hiệu Newcastle Brown Ale. Theo tiếng địa phương của vùng Geordie (nước Anh), từ "dog" là từ thường được dùng để chỉ cả cụm "I am going to see a man about a dog", hoặc "I'm going to walk the dog", có nghĩa là đi "I'm going to the pub"(Tôi định đi đến quầy rượu).

Ví dụ
The bottle of dog (as it's known in the North East) was first born in 1927 and it is now being supped (cung cấp) in more than 40 countries across the world.

A ‘bottle of dog’ in a traditional schooner glass will be available in the pub as Mr Woodley hopes both sets of fans can enjoy a drink together before they take on each other in the FA Cup fourth round.

Because “very few things last at Costco,” Sadek encouraged the community to grab a bottle of Dog Day Cabernet soon at any of the eight Costco locations now carrying it: Livermore, Danville, Concord, Fremont, Tracy, Manteca, Almaden, and Santa Clara.

'Have a sweet tooth' = có một cái răng 'ngọt' -> từ này dùng cho những người hảo ngọt, đặc biệt thích ăn đồ ngọt. Nhưng các bạn lưu ý ăn nhiều quá là cũng dễ mắc nhiều bệnh không tốt cho sức khỏe đâu nha.

Ví dụ
The 40-year-old wrote, “If you have a sweet tooth, consider this your new favorite dessert – even if you’re not keto, it’s a true crowd-pleaser (được lòng).”

“Anything sweet that contributes to such debilitating (ảnh hưởng, yếu đi) diseases should be taken with caution and care,” he said. “Malaysians are known to have a sweet tooth. So we definitely need to worry about this growing trend.”

There are times when I don't eat, simply because I am not hungry. However, I am always super thirsty (khát). I try to eat more regularly now. I also try to reduce or control my carb intake (nạp vào), which is tough as I have a sweet tooth

'Lead (one) by the nose' = dắt mũi (bạn có thể liên tưởng tới hình ảnh mấy con trâu bị xỏ mũi dắt đi ấy nhé) -> kiểm soát ai đó gần như hoàn toàn (bị dắt mũi), ngoài ra đôi khi nó cũng có nghĩa là hướng dẫn ai rất cẩn thận và từ từ (đặc biệt với những người không quá thông minh).

Ví dụ
In a statement released through the Des Moines Register, Fehn's attorney Joel B. Rothman noted that his client was "lead by the nose" thinking all members of the group were "being treated equally."

England's history shows that they have NEVER been lead by the nose ring. 500 years ago they told the Vatican and the Pope to get stuffed and for that measure they prospered when nobody believed they could.

What I find very disturbing (nhiễu loạn) of the trend of people these days. And just how lead by the nose of corporations they are. If said corporation says the blame for some problem, then it must be! If some corporation says something is good for you then it must be true. No matter if their lobby group paid for some Senator or Congressman or President even to say it is.

'Your guess is as good as mine' = phán đoán của bạn cũng như của tôi vậy -> từ này dùng để miêu tả việc 'tôi cũng không biết, cũng không có ý kiến gì hơn'. Nó thường dùng để trả lời các câu hỏi.

Ví dụ
"Your guess is as good as mine," Mills said when asked about Maddon's comment. "I think it's something showing he has a lot of confidence in me. I'm just doing what I can to help fulfill that."

At this stage, your guess is as good as mine as to what will happen. As physicist Niels Bohr reminded us, making predictions (dự đoán) is hard, especially about the future. Brexit means foretelling (đoán trước) the path of U.K. interest rates is even more difficult than usual. Woe is me (thật khổ cho tôi chưa!).

So how long will the Endgame worldwide record last? Avatar held that top spot for a decade, which is insanely impressive (ấn tượng). Will Cameron snatch (lấy lại) it back with Avatar 2? Or will we have to wait for the next culminating (cực phẩm, siêu phẩm) Marvel event for Endgame to be usurped (soán ngôi, chiếm đoạt)? Your guess is as good as mine.

"Run the clock down" nghĩa là gì?

Đừng hòng làm thủng lưới đội tui!!! Photo by Jeffrey F Lin on Unsplash

"Run the clock down" -> Trong thể thao, để bảo vệ vị trí dẫn đầu phải dùng hết thời gian có thể trong trận đấu mà không để đội đối thủ có cơ hội ghi bàn. Nói ngắn gọn là giữ vững thế thụ động hoặc chuyển qua phòng thủ.

Ví dụ
There’s a simple way to bump that number up. Stop the clock for penalties. Don’t run the clock down for conversions (chuyển đổi) or penalty kicks. In fact, stop the clock whenever the ball goes out of bounds.

It’s almost game over here now, and Celtic, with 10 men, are happy just to run the clock down and finish their tour undefeated. The game seems to be petering out (giảm dần và dừng lại, suy giảm tới số 0), with St Gallen hardly forcing the issue themselves.

Denver’s Jamal Murray brought the ball up the floor, then stopped just past halfcourt to run the clock down. Portland’s CJ McCollum was clearly instructed not to foul (phạm lỗi) Murray, but to aggressively crowd him to try and force a turnover. With every fan in the building on their feet, the initial broadcast camera angle barely even caught what initially appeared to be McCollum knocking the ball away from Murray and out-of-bounds (ra ngoài biên).
